UNJustice message

At a time when the United Nations is playing a decisive role in coping with world problems which affect the lives of millions of people, fair play - a combination of observance of the rules, respect for the defenceless, and prevention of adverse behaviour - is the condition under which human cooperation becomes both possible and necessary.

With a view to this, to help these essential features cross the arbitrary and artificial barriers to realize the UN's potential as a positive force in the world, UNJustice devotes itself to no other task with more dedication than to the very task it got its name from: encouraging fair play in the United Nations system of administration of justice.

Dream Big

In January 2009, we received a letter from a member of the United Nations Joint Appeals Board which contained these words: "...for several years I've been a counselor of the JAB and I can assure you that it is much easier to hit the jackpot in the lottery than to win a case at the UN...” .

These comments always make us feel at a loss to find the appropriate words to express our sense of anguish. People need to trust in the UN system of administration of justice.

In this climate, we believe, some images are worth a thousand words. While creating emotional involvement, they stand tall as a model for those who want to do something great in their lives.

Through a selection of media products, we are encouraged and inspired by human greatness when it is pushed to its limits. To continue against all odds and succeed in the quest for a fair system of administration of justice for the United Nations.

Please contact us if you want to submit a media product or if you have any questions about the submissions. Email dreambig@unjustice.org

"Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places…they are the world of the individual person; the neighborhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory, farm, or office where he works. Such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination. Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere."
